The World In Me, Me In The World

This we know:

All things are connected like the blood that unites us.

We did not weave the web of life,

We are merely a strand in it.

Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves.

(Attributed to Chief Seattle)

Man In The Mirror

I'm starting with the man in the mirror.

I'm asking him to change his ways.

And no message could have been any clearer.

If you want to make the world a better place ,

Take a look at yourself and make a change.

(Michael Jackson)

Lord, thank you for giving us the opportunity to join you in your kingdom work, serving your children who are in need of basic things like food, water, education, and livelihoods. Give me and others the courage to pursue your calling and give us the words we need to speak your truth.

Amen.

'Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord' Psalms 31:24

"What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food.  If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?  In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”

Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds.” (James 2: 14-18)
